AN ALL NEW ORIGINAL MYSTERIOUS COMICALLY TRAGIC MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT
FEBRUARY 8 – MARCH 1

“Grammer’s intriguing portrait of a carefully concealing era that transforms into something else—letting personal truths into the light—is worth a look.”

Evelyn was a rising talent in Hollywood’s golden age. As she was reaching her prime, she suddenly walked away. The public was shocked. By the 1960s, she was known only for classic TV matinees.
Set in the historic 1960’s, William Forsyth was a charismatic dealmaker in the movie industry. He charmed his way into Evelyn’s heart (and her late father’s mansion), by cloistering her from the pressure and struggles of the business.
Billy is the war veteran son of a Forsyth business associate. As a favor, William takes the lost and impressionable Billy under his wing and shows him the ropes at the studio. He even casts Billy’s wife in pictures he’s producing.
Cassandra, Billy’s bride, becomes a fresh face in the movies. Like Evelyn before her, she discovers the work can be as suffocating as it is exhilarating.
Writer/Director Kevin Grammer takes us behind the myths into the dark side of the motion picture business with his new Fate Complete, a dark dramedy musical. As Onstage NTX has said of Kevin’s previous work, he “manages to keep the fun of Ochre House’s free-floating “Suavant Garde” style, but (adds) a welcome heft. It leaves us with something to chew on.”
Join us as we plunge into the dark underbelly of the movie industry where up is down, left is right, and right is wrong. Music, dance, and spectacle intensify the evening. It’s the kind of inventive, trailblazing theater you’ll only find at the Ochre House.
